RED BIRD ARTS DISTRICT

If you build it, they will come! Red Bird Arts District was established in October 2015 by a group of Volunteers to offer creative and cultural events for the community and to market Downtown Sylvania as a destination for the arts, dining and entertainment. Since then, the branding effort has generated increased revenue for local businesses and has become a vital component of the growth and economic development of Downtown Sylvania. Recognizing our hard work and the community need, Sylvania City Council funded the organization in which I filled the first Marketing Manager position when the organization took off. The Red Bird has become a mascot and the spirit of the city as you can see in the photos below with monthly themed First Friday Art Walks, a summer Farmers Market, fundraising events, a Parklet Project, and daily inspiration to visitors of the district.
